At Designer Doodles by Kim, our Designer Doodles are not only beautiful but also known for their rare genetic traits, such as the Merle coats and blue eyes. Sheepadoodles

Our Sheepadoodles, a cross between the Old English Sheepdog and Poodle, are well-loved for their loyalty, gentle nature, and intelligent demeanor. While traditionally they have black and white coats, we also breed Designer Sheepadoodles that don’t follow the typical Sheepdog color patterns, but still carry the same genetic traits. These Doodles may present Merle coats or blue eyes, making them even more desirable. They combine the best of both worlds: the Sheepadoodle temperament with rare and unique colors.

Coat Colors

Merle

Our Merle puppies are particularly prized, with unique color patterns and the rare blue eyes associated with the Merle gene. Blue Merles feature a lighter gray base coat with darker black or gray patches, while Chocolate Merles have a rich brown base with lighter patches. The Sable Merles feature black-tipped hairs over a lighter coat. These blue-eyed Merles are highly sought after and are one of the most popular Doodle coat patterns at Designer Doodles by Kim.

Phantom and Tricolor

Phantom Doodles feature distinctive tan points similar to those seen in Dobermans or Rottweilers, with markings above the eyes, on the chest, and under the legs. Tricolor Doodles, on the other hand, display a combination of black, white, and tan, creating a bold and unique appearance.

Sable

The Sable coat is characterized by a tan base coat with black-tipped hairs, resulting in a beautiful blended appearance of tan and black. This coloring gives the puppy a dynamic and striking look, as the colors can appear more pronounced or subtle depending on the coat.

Brindle

Brindle Doodles have a unique pattern resembling tiger stripes, with dark stripes running through a lighter base color, typically ranging from tan to dark brown. These puppies’ Brindle coats are rare and distinctive, making them highly sought after by Doodle lovers.

Coat Texture

Curly

The Poodle curly coat is the most common texture in Doodles, providing a soft, dense, and hypoallergenic option for families. Curly coats are low-shedding, which makes them ideal for people with allergies.

Wavy

Wavy coats are another popular choice for Doodle owners, offering a balance between the curly and straight coat. The wavy texture provides a slightly looser curl and is also low-shedding.

Straight

Some Doodles may inherit a straight coat, which is typically less curly and wavy than the others. While these coats are still considered hypoallergenic, they require regular grooming to maintain their appearance and prevent tangling.

Eye Colors

Brown or Black

The traditional eye colors for Doodles are brown or black, which are commonly seen in most Doodle breeds, including Sheepadoodles and Designer Doodles. These classic eye colors are stunning and complement the coat’s natural hues.

Blue eyed doodle

Blue eyes are one of the rarest and most desirable traits in Merle Doodles, often inherited from the Merle gene. Our blue-eyed puppies are highly sought after, especially those with distinct Merle coats. The unique look of blue eyes adds an exceptional quality to their appearance.

One Blue, One Black

Some of our Merle Doodles feature a striking one blue eye and one black eye combination. This rare eye color variation is considered highly unique and adds an intriguing visual appeal to these puppies.

Speckled Blue

In Merle Doodles, sometimes the blue eyes feature chunks of black within them, creating a speckled appearance. This characteristic is specific to some Merle puppies and enhances the overall uniqueness of the eye color.

Doodle Sizes

Standard

The Standard Doodle is the largest size, typically weighing between 40-70 pounds. They have a gentle nature and make great family pets.

Miniature

Miniature Doodles are smaller, typically weighing between 20-40 pounds. These Doodles retain the same wonderful traits but in a more compact size, making them perfect for smaller homes or families.

Micro Mini

The Micro Mini Doodle is the smallest of the Doodle sizes, weighing between 10-20 pounds. These tiny Doodles are ideal for those looking for a smaller, hypoallergenic companion.
